Republic of Vietnam Tech Service 1C Medal

History - Established 1964

The Republic of Vietnam Tech Service 1C Medal honors military members and civilians who provided technical service of outstanding quality on behalf of South Vietnam between 1964 and 1972. It was intended to recognize important work carried out in contexts other than combat. The award is issued at the 1C level for officers and the 2C officer for enlisted members.

The former Republic of South Vietnam created a series of awards to honor military members and civilians who carried out service on behalf of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War and related operations between 1949 and 1974. As the nation no longer exists, the awards are considered obsolete.
