History

The World War II 60th Anniversary Commemorative Ribbon is intended to recognize all those United States military members who carried out honorable service in World War II.

Details

The medal features the image of the face of the Statue of Liberty in front of a United States flag in red, white, and blue. On a ring of blue enamel, text reads “60TH ANNIVERSARY OF WORLD WAR II.” The ribbon is divided into three sections; the left and right feature symmetrical thin vertical stripes beginning with red in the center and proceeding outward in rainbow order on each side. The larger central section is white with one thin vertical blue stripe and one thin vertical red stripe.
