History
The Korean War Commemorative Medal is intended to honor United States military personnel who carried out service during the Korean War between June 1950 and July 1953.
Details
The medal is bronze and features an image of the United States flag overlapping with the flag of South Korea. A ring of blue enamel bears an inscription reading “COMMEMORATIVE - 1950 - KOREAN WAR - 1953.” The ribbon is light blue and features a thin vertical white stripe toward the center on each side as well as a thin band of red, white, and blue on each edge proceeding outward.
