United Nations Protection Force in Yugoslavia

The United Nations Protection Force in Yugoslavia Medal honors those who carried out service in advancing the United Nations peacekeeping efforts in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The peacekeeping force formed in February of 1992 and sought to curtail violence and prevent ethnic discrimination and other human rights abuses; it also assisted with ceasefire proceedings. The mission concluded in early 1996. Eligible individuals must have served for 90 days consecutively during the mission’s active period.

NATO Medal – w/ Yugoslavia Bar

The NATO Medal with Yugoslavia Bar honors military members and civilians who carried out service in NATO’s action in the Bosnian and Yugoslav Wars, beginning in February of 1992 and including Operation Joint Endeavor.
