History - Established 1998

Established in June 1998, the Army Exceptional Public Service Award honors civilians who provide outstanding service or contributions to advance objectives of the Department of the Army. Civilian employees and contractors for the United States Armed Forces are not eligible.

Details

The medal features an eagle adapted from the United States Seal appearing in front of a triangle; a laurel wreath frames the bottom portion of the medal. The ribbon is red and features five evenly spaced thin white dashed vertical lines.
