The United Nations Iraq / Kuwait Observer Mission Medal honors those who assisted in carrying out observation on the Khor Abdullah waterway and the demilitarized zone between the countries of Kuwait and Iraq; the mission was established in April of 1991. Eligible individuals must have served for 90 days consecutively during that period.

The California National Guard Federal Service Ribbon honors California National Guard Members who carry out honorable service as part of a mission resulting from a directive of the President of the United States under Title 10.
The NATO Training Mission Iraq Medal honors military members and civilians who carried out service in NATO’s Training Mission to help develop Iraqi training infrastructure to ensure the country’s peacekeeping abilities and to meet its needs as a nation. The mission lasted from 2004 to 2011; the United States contributed 60 instructors as well as support, logistics, and a protection company.
