NATO Training Mission Iraq

The NATO Training Mission Iraq Medal honors military members and civilians who carried out service in NATO’s Training Mission to help develop Iraqi training infrastructure to ensure the country’s peacekeeping abilities and to meet its needs as a nation. The mission lasted from 2004 to 2011; the United States contributed 60 instructors as well as support, logistics, and a protection company.

NATO Non-Article 5 Medal for the Balkans

The NATO Non-Article 5 Medal for the Balkans Ribbon honors military members and civilians who carried out service in support of NATO operations on or after January 1, 2003 in the Balkan region, including land and airspace in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Yugoslavia.To be eligible, individuals must have carried out 30 days of service in this region, consecutively or in agglomerate.
