The Air Force Command Civilian Award for Valor is granted to civilian individuals who carry out meritorious service on behalf of the United States government. This award may be presented to civilian Air Force personnel for distinguishing themselves by providing aid in a noteworthy manner during an emergency situation.
The medal is silver and features an eagle superimposed over a pyramid; an inscription on the bottom of the pyramid reads “VALOR.” Behind the pyramid appears a wreath of laurels. The ribbon is light blue and is bisected by a dark red vertical stripe flanked by thinner yellow vertical stripes. It is divided into thirds by two thin yellow vertical stripes.
