History

The Air Force Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award Medal Ribbon is issued upon retirement to civilian employees of the United States Air Force who demonstrated exceptional comportment and achievement throughout their career.

Details

The medal is bronze and features an eagle atop a shield bearing the Air Force Coat of Arms. The image is encircled by a wreath of laurels. The reverse of the medal features a space for engraving the name of the recipient and an inscription reading “FOR OUTSTANDING CIVILIAN SERVICE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE.” The ribbon is white with three thin vertical red stripes at the center as well as red edging.
