The Alabama National Guard Recruiting Ribbon honors Alabama National Guard personnel who have successfully recruited 10 individuals into service.
Comprised of the Alabama Air National Guard and the Alabama Army National Guard, the Alabama National Guard is approximately 11,000 members strong as of 2006. It traces its origins back to militia activity during the War of 1812, and the Air component was officially added in 1917 with the inception of the 106th Aero Squadron.
The ribbon is white and features three thin red vertical stripes toward the exterior on each side. Between the sets of stripes are four blue stars.
