History

The Nevada National Guard War on Terror Ribbon honors Nevada National Guard members who have carried out service in operations in the War on Terror or other efforts pertaining to the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The Nevada National Guard is composed of the Nevada Army National Guard and the Nevada Air National Guard. The Army component numbers approximately 2,500 and is based in Carson City. The Air component, established in 1948, numbers around 1,100; it is currently based in Fallon and consists of the 152d Airlift Wing and the support units 232d Operations Squadron and 92d Civil Support Team.

Details

The ribbon is bisected by a thin vertical dark blue stripe flanked on either side by a thin stripe each of white, red, and yellow as well as thicker stripes of gray and dark blue proceeding outward.
