Oregon National Guard Faithful Service Medal

History

The Oregon National Guard Faithful Service Ribbon honors Oregon National Guard members who have honorably carried out service; individuals become eligible after being in active for at least one year.

The Oregon National Guard is composed of the Oregon Army National Guard and the Oregon Air National Guard. The Army component traces its roots back to 1843 and maintains 41 armories across 33 communities in the state. The Air component was founded in 1940 with the 123d Observation Squadron. It is currently based in Salem and is made up of the 142d Fighter Wing and 173rd Fighter Wing.

Details

The ribbon is divided into equal sections of dark blue on the right and golden yellow on the left.

Precedence
