The Virgin Islands National Guard Long and Faithful Service Ribbon honors Virgin Islands National Guard members who honorably carry out five years of service.
The Virgin Islands National Guard is made up of the Virgin Islands Army National Guard and the Virgin Islands Air National Guard. The Army component was established in October of 1973 and is based on the island of St. Croix; it currently numbers nearly 1,000. The Air component, also based on St. Croix, was formed in February of 1980 with the 285th Combat Communications Flight.
The ribbon is light blue with no additional decoration.
