History

The World War II Victory in the Pacific 50th Anniversary Commemorative Medal is intended to recognize members of the United States Armed Forces who carried out service in the Pacific theater during World War II.

Details

The medal features the image of a mountain, a cloud, a body of water, and a naval craft. An inscription on the upper portion of the medal reads “PACIFIC CAMPAIGN 1941-1945,” and two bamboo branches frame the bottom. The ribbon is golden yellow and is bisected by thin vertical stripes of blue, white, and red. On each edge are thin vertical stripes of white, red, and white.
