The Louisiana National Guard Cross of Merit Medal honors Louisiana National Guard members who demonstrate heroism or otherwise exceptional service so as to set themselves apart from their peers but of a lesser nature than would warrant the Louisiana Distinguished Service Medal.
The Louisiana National Guard Counter Drug Service Ribbon honors Louisiana National Guard members who carry out excellent service in designated counter-drug operations for a minimum term of 90 days, which may include initiatives to reduce demand and supply or address substance abuse in other ways. It may only be awarded once and may be granted for service dating back to January 1, 1989.
The Louisiana National Guard Commendation Medal honors Louisiana National Guard members who carry out sustained outstanding service or conduct an individual valorous act to advance the well-being of their unit, typically of a lesser degree than would warrant the Louisiana National Guard Meritorious Service Ribbon.
Established on July 1, 1999, the Louisiana National Guard Cold War Victory Ribbon honors Louisiana National Guard members who carried out honorable service between the dates of May 8, 1945 and December 25, 1991 for a term of no less than eighteen consecutive months. It may only be awarded once.
The Louisiana National Guard Achievement Ribbon honors Louisiana National Guard members who carry out excellent service or noteworthy accomplishments of a lesser degree than would warrant the Louisiana National Guard Commendation Ribbon.
