Established in June of 1976, the Navy E Ribbon replaced the Battle Efficiency Award. It honors Navy members on ships that win battle efficiency competitions on or subsequent to July 1, 1974.

Established on December 12, 2003, the Navy Ceremonial Guard Ribbon honors Navy personnel who carry out a standard tour with the Navy Ceremonial Guard in Washington D.C. in an honorable manner and without incurring disciplinary action.
Navy Arctic Service
Established in May 1986, the Navy Arctic Service Ribbon honors Navy and Marine Corps personnel who carry out a minimum of 28 days of service consecutively within the Arctic Circle.

Established in June 1987, the Navy & Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon honors Navy and Marine Corps members, including reservists, who carry out a year of service, consecutively or cumulatively, at an overseas duty station.
Naval Reserve Sea Service
Established in May of 1986 and retroactive to August 15, 1974, the Naval Reserve Sea Service Ribbon honors Navy Reservists who carry out two cumulative years (24 months) of service aboard a designated Navy Reserve vessel.
