Given to individuals of the Ohio National Guard who have served in active duty for the state.
Ohio National Guard Recruiters Achievement
The Ohio National Guard Recruiters Achievement Ribbon honors Ohio National Guard recruiters who achieve 125 percent of their assigned mission over the course of one year. It may also be awarded to other personnel who successfully secure two new enlistments.
Ohio National Guard Faithful Service
The Ohio National Guard Faithful Service Ribbon honors Ohio National Guard members who honorably carry out five years of service on or subsequent to January 20, 1972.
Ohio National Guard Distinguished Service Medal
Established on January 20, 1972, the Ohio National Guard Distinguished Service Medal honors Ohio National Guard members who perform an act of valor or heroism, typically involving risk of life and on behalf of the state of Ohio. Civilians may also be eligible for the award.
Ohio National Guard Commendation Medal
The Ohio National Guard Commendation Medal honors Ohio National Guard members who carry out exceptional service or accomplishments in excess of normal expectations. Civilians may also be eligible for the award, as determined by the Adjutant General.
Ohio National Guard Basic Training Service
Bestowed upon individuals of the Ohio National Guard who complete basic training.
Ohio National Guard Award of Merit
The Ohio National Guard Award of Merit honors Ohio National Guard members who honorably carry out three years of service while achieving an 85 percent attendance rate at required training and assemblies.
Ohio Cross Medal National Guard
The Ohio Cross honors Ohio National Guard members who perform acts of notable valor or gallantry, typically entailing risk of life and in such a manner as to set themselves apart from their peers. Documentation of the act is required.
