History - Established 1980

Established on October 12, 1980, the Air Force Training Ribbon honors members of the United States Air Force who successfully complete their initial accession training. The completion of technical training or career development courses does not warrant award of the ribbon.

Details

The ribbon is dark blue and is bisected by a red vertical stripe; each side features a yellow vertical stripe toward the outer edge.

Additional accession training may be indicated by oak leaf clusters.
