The Arkansas National Guard Recruiting Ribbon honors Arkansas National Guard personnel who recruit a minimum of 10 individuals.
Approximately 8,000 soldiers are currently serving in the Arkansas Army National Guard, whose training facilities are located near For Smith and in North Little Rock. It was founded in 1804 as a Territorial Militia. The Arkansas Air National Guard, estimated at 2,500 members as of 2009, is based in North Little Rock and dates back to 1917.
The ribbon is white and features three thin red vertical stripes toward the exterior on each side. Between the sets of stripes are four blue stars.
