History - Established 1990
Created in September of 1990, the Coast Guard E Ribbon (sometimes referred to as the Coast Guard Excellence Ribbon) recognizes Coast Guard units on any cutter that achieves the Operational Excellence Award during its annual training refresher course.
Details
The ribbon features a central section of white flanked by a very thin vertical dark blue stripe followed by a thin yellow stripe, a thick dark blue stripe, and a thin white stripe proceeding outward on each side, as well as yellow edging.
