The Michigan National Guard State Partnership Ribbon honors Michigan National Guard members who carry out service in the country with which the Michigan National Guard is presently partnered.
The Michigan National Guard is composed of the Michigan Army National Guard and the Michigan Air National Guard. The Army component is based in Lansing and traces its origins back to militia group in 1803; it currently maintains 60 armories. The Air component, also based in Lansing, originated in 1917 with the 107th Aero Squadron and currently consists of the 110th Attack Wing and the 127th Wing.
The ribbon is bisected by a thick vertical white stripe with a red section to its right and a blue section to its left.
