The Texas State Guard Recruiting Ribbon honors Texas State Guard members who successfully secure a minimum of five new enlistments who serve as active members for at least six months.
The Texas State Guard offers mission-ready forces to provide service to the state in emergencies and to carry out security and humanitarian service. With origins tracing back to Stephen F. Austin’s militia groups in the 1800s, the Texas State Guard is headquartered in Austin, and its motto is “Equal to the Task.” It features a Command Group, Engineer Group, Army and Air Components, Maritime Regiment, and Medical Brigade.
The ribbon features three vertical red stripes alternating with three vertical green stripes.
Additional awards are indicated by numeral devices per five recruits secured.
