NATO Meritorious Service
Established in 2003, the NATO Meritorious Service Medal honors NATO personnel, military and civilian alike, who demonstrate outstanding service on behalf of NATO.
NATO Medal
The NATO Medal honors military members and civilians who carried out service in support of designated NATO operations.
NATO Kosovo Medal
The NATO Kosovo Medal honors military members and civilians who carried out service in support of NATO operations in Kosovo. To be eligible, individuals must have carried out 30 days of service in this region, consecutively or in agglomerate.
NATO ISAF Medal
The NATO ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) Medal honors military members and civilians who have carried out service on behalf of the International Security Assistance Force in an eligible area. To qualify, individuals must be part of designated Joint Operations Area units and must have carried out 30 days of service in Afghanistan, consecutive or agglomerate, in ISAF operations.
NATO Article 5 Active Endeavour Medal
The NATO Article 5 Active Endeavour Medal honors military members and civilians who have carried out service in support of Operation Active Endeavour, designed to combat terrorism and the transit of weapons of mass destruction through maritime proceedings in the Mediterranean Sea.
National Defense Service Medal
Established on April 22, 1953, the National Defense Service Medal honors United States military members who carried out honorable service during designated conflicts.
Multi-national Force and Observers Medal
Established on March 24, 1982, the Multinational Force and Observers Medal Ribbon honors United States Armed Forces members who carried out a minimum of 90 days of service (the minimum term was increased to 170 days in 1985) cumulatively as part of the Multinational Force and Observers, which endeavored to maintain a ceasefire zone between Egypt and Israel following the Yom Kippur War.
Mexican Service Medal – Marine Corps
Created by the United States Department of War in December 1917, the Mexican Service Medal was awarded to military personnel who carried out duties against hostile Mexican parties during designated periods between 1911 and 1919 amid what is generally referred to as the Border War or Border Campaign.
Meritorious Service
Established on January 16, 1969, the Meritorious Service Medal honors United States Armed Forces personnel who carry out exceptional service or achievements under circumstances other than combat.
Medal for Humane Action
Established on July 20, 1949, the Medal for Humane Action honors United States Armed Forces personnel who carried out service in operations related to the Berlin Airlift.
