The Alaska National Guard Community Service Medal Ribbon honors Alaska National Guard members who distinguish themselves by making substantial contributions to their community.

The Alaska National Guard Air Medal Ribbon is awarded to individuals who demonstrate noteworthy performance during flight operations or for sustained meritorious performance in flight operations. Comprised of the Alaska Army National Guard and the Alaska Air National Guard, the Alaska sector of the United States National Guard numbers approximately 2,300 air guardsmen and 2,000 army guardsmen as of 2008. It operates an anti-missile launch site at Fort Greely.
