History - Established 2000

The Air Force Recruiter Ribbon was established on June 21, 2000 to honor members of the United States Air Force who distinguish themselves in recruitment duties.

Individuals performing recruitment-related service may wear the ribbon temporarily; it is awarded permanently after the individual completes three years of service as a recruiter, with exceptions granted for certain extenuating circumstances.

The ribbon is dark blue with thin vertical stripes of blue, white, and red proceeding inward on each edge.

Subsequent awards may be indicated by oak leaf clusters.
