History
The Nevada National Guard Commendation Medal honors Nevada National Guard members who distinguish themselves through outstanding service.
The Nevada National Guard is composed of the Nevada Army National Guard and the Nevada Air National Guard. The Army component numbers approximately 2,500 and is based in Carson City. The Air component, established in 1948, numbers around 1,100; it is currently based in Fallon and consists of the 152d Airlift Wing and the support units 232d Operations Squadron and 92d Civil Support Team.
Details
The ribbon is gray with three light blue vertical stripes.
