Indiana National Guard Recruiting
Established on January 2, 1997, the Indiana National Guard Recruiting Ribbon honors Indiana National Guard members who carry out qualifying service in a recruiting capacity. To be eligible, Army National Guard members must achieve their designated recruiting goals for three consecutive months, and Air National Guard members must meet or exceed 115 percent of their recruiting assignment in a single year.
Indiana National Guard Overseas Service
Established on August 28, 2002, the Indiana National Guard Overseas Service Ribbon honors Indiana National Guard members who carry out service in designated overseas areas on or subsequent to September 11, 2001 for a term of thirty days or more.
Indiana National Guard Operation Desert Shield/Storm Service Medal
The Indiana National Guard Operation Desert Shield/Storm Service Medal honors Indiana National Guard members who honorably carried out service in either Operation Desert Shield or Desert Storm.
Indiana National Guard OCONUS Service
Established on June 17, 1982, the Indiana National Guard OCONUS Service Ribbon honors Indiana National Guard members who have carried out service honorably outside of the bounds of the continental United States.
Indiana National Guard Military Funeral Honors Program
Established in May of 2013, the Indiana National Guard Military Funeral Honors Program Ribbon honors Indiana National Guard members who carry out honorable service at military funerals and related events in Indiana through the state’s Military Funeral Honors Program.
Indiana National Guard Longevity Service Medal
Established on January 12, 1954, the Indiana National Guard Long Service Medal honors Indiana National Guard members who carry out ten years of honorable service. Additional awards are issued at intervals of five years.
Indiana National Guard Emergency Service
Established on January 16, 1979, the Indiana National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon honors Indiana National Guard members who carry out honorable service in the event of a state emergency or other crisis as declared by the Governor or Adjutant General.
Indiana National Guard Distinguished Service Medal
Established on February 5, 1962, the Indiana National Guard Distinguished Service Medal honors Indiana National Guard members who carry out noteworthy service or otherwise contribute to the Indiana National Guard by improving its practices or renown.
Indiana National Guard Distinguished Service Cross
Established on February 5, 1962, the Indiana National Guard Distinguished Service Cross honors Indiana National Guard members who execute an act of valor or heroism typically in confrontation with an enemy and involving risk of life or injury. Acts performed on or after January 1, 1954 are eligible for the award.
