United Nations Mission in Haiti

The United Nations Mission in Haiti Medal honors military personnel who carried out service in Haiti between the dates of September 23, 1993 and July 1, 1997, supporting peacekeeping operations and the stabilization of the nation following a government overthrow in 1991. Participation in the training of Haitian National Police is also eligible for the award.

United Nations

The United Nations Medal honors military personnel who carry out service in a joint United Nations operation, including support for peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, or following a natural disaster. To qualify, terms of service must last a minimum of 90 days.

Intervals of mobilization may not be counted toward this term.
