Established in 1942, the Florida National Guard Meritorious Service Ribbon honors Florida National Guard members who exhibit commendable behavior on behalf of the Florida National Guard. It fell out of use in approximately 1958 but was reinstated in 1973, and a medal was later added in 1986.
Established on July 1, 1977, the Florida National Guard Governor’s Meritorious Unit Citation honors Florida National Guard units that win the Governor's Trophy by distinguishing themselves from other units through exceptional service above that of other units.
Established on March 30, 1929, the Florida National Guard Cross honors Florida National Guard members who carry out acts of exceptional heroism or otherwise distinguish themselves from their peers through feats of valor in excess of expectations.
Established on December 1, 1958, the Florida National Guard Commendation Medal honors Florida National Guard members who demonstrate outstanding service, such as the execution of a heroic act or another noteworthy accomplishment. Originally issued only as ribbon, the medal was authorized in 1973.

The Connecticut Selected Reserve Force Medal honors Connecticut National Guard members who carried out honorable service in a designated unit for a minimum term of one year between the dates of October 1, 1965 and September 3, 1969. It may be granted posthumously.
