Established on May 2, 1980, the Maine National Guard Recruiting Award honors Maine National Guard members who successfully obtain five new enlistments within a period of one year. Individuals serving in an official capacity as recruiters are not eligible.
Established on December 30, 1957, the Maine National Guard Basic Training Ribbon honors Maine National Guard members who satisfactorily complete active duty basic training. It is the Maine National Guard’s oldest award.
Established on May 2, 1980 and now obsolete, the Maine National Guard State Emergency Service Award honored Maine National Guard members who carried out honorable service in the event of a state emergency or other crisis designated by the Adjutant General. It may be awarded retroactively.
The Idaho National Guard Reenlistment Ribbon honors Idaho National Guard members who satisfactorily complete enlisted service and voluntarily reenlist.
Established in 1954, the Iowa Outstanding Unit Award honors Iowa National Guard units that carry out exceptional service so as to set themselves apart from other units, typically involving combat or other operations against hostile forces.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff Outstanding Public Service Ribbon honors individuals not primarily employed by the United States government who make outstanding contributions or carry out other noteworthy service on behalf of the Department of Defense, Joint Staff, or subsidiary bodies in the spirit of public improvement; qualifying service is of a lesser degree than would warrant the Joint Chiefs of Staff Distinguished Public Service Ribbon.
The Iowa National Guard Leadership Ribbon honors Iowa National Guard members who satisfactorily complete a qualifying leadership course.
The Delaware National Guard Governor’s Meritorious Unit Award honors Delaware National Guard units that distinguish themselves through outstanding accomplishments or comportment.
